We are moving...again!

So everyone, guess where we are going? I am sure the pictures will give it away!

Yes, we are moving back to Laie, Hawaii after a year and a half in Salt lake City. We are pretty surprised. How many people get to live in paradise...twice? We never thought we'd even get a chance to visit this beautiful island in our lifetime. This time we go to Laie with a call to serve in the Laie Hawaii Temple. We were called to serve with President Ross Workman and Sister Kay Workman as second counselor and assistant matron. We are very excited to have this opportunity to serve the Lord full time in the temple. We have learned so much in our service as ordinance workers in four temples. Now we get to learn even more about the temple and enjoy the spirit in richer measure as we spend many hours in the temple. We know and love the Workmans and can't wait to learn from them. The other counselor is Mike Ellis, and his wife, Leah, is an assistant matron also. They have already served a year with President and Sister Workman. We were acquainted with them as we served in the temple as ordinance workers. We look forward to getting to know them better.
We received our call from Elder Clayton of the Presidency of the Seventy. He is responsible for the area which includes California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii. After a 20 minute interview he extended the call to us on behalf of the First Presidency. We later received a letter from the First Presidency confirming our call. Greg will also receive the sealing authority from the Prophet or one of the First Presidency or the Twelve. We are awaiting the call to receive that wondeful blessing. We are so excited to think that one day Grandpa may be able to seal some of the grandchildren to their spouses. What a blessing that will be!
I must say one more thing. It is difficult to leave our family, friends and fellow ward members. We have loved being near to some of our children and grandchildren. It has been a special year and a half. We are also sad to leave our callings here in Salt Lake City. Greg has loved serving with Elder Costa as his Executive Secretary. He has also enjoyed his calling on the high council and being able to teach gospel doctrine once a month in the ward. I have loved serving the sisters as Relief Society President. The Bishop has told me I must commute weekly and that Greg has to come home each fourth Sunday for his lesson! He's pretty funny. Elder Costa is sad to lose Greg. They have been a good team I think. It is interesting how in a moment everything in your life can change. But when a call from The Prophet comes to you, what other choice do you have but to answer, "Yes, we will serve." We made that decision long ago. And oh what a life we have had!! We are humbled and feel so blessed. We pray that our family will be blessed in rich abundance in our absence.
We have a lot to do before we move. Here we go again!
