Wrapping it up!

View of Bay from up on the mountain near the lighthouse

Well, we are down to the final days. Two weeks and we'll be Salt lake City residents again. It's really weird to think that the nomadic days will be over for a while--I guess until we decide it's time for a mission. It's kind of a melancholy feeling when you move. I keep thinking "Here we go again." But this time is a little different. We'll be closer to family which will be wonderful. We look forward to all the blessings of being with family.

Last Saturday, Greg and I went to hike up to the Lighthouse at the southern tip of the island. We got some gorgeous pictures of the ocean! It was a perfect day.

To keep busy and not think too much about the move, I've been sewing up a storm. I also realize that I'll be without my machines for a few weeks so I should get my projects done. I am making crayon caddies for everyone and little aprons for the younger grandchildren. It's been a lot of fun.

Dad had the opportunity to speak to the Business students at a weekly lecture series they do on campus. I got to introduce him. that was fun. He did such a great job on his talk. He is such a good speaker. He really should teach at the University of Utah when we go back. The students would love his class! He is so knowledgeable about business because he has had so many different kinds of asignments with Ford. and then he's had the experience at PCC.

We've been enjoying our time with Wheelwrights and golfing with them when they are here. They sure travel a lot! Here are some photos with them at Turtle Bay. I will really miss that place and I'll sure miss Margaret and Steve!

Tomorrow, we'll be golfing at a course we've never been to. We don't have much time left to golf the courses here in Hawaii. We also plan to go by Superferry to Maui and spend four days there golfing and sightseeing before we leave for Utah. Should be a nice relaxing time before we get back to snow and winter and no golfing for a while. I guess we'll have to just play with the grandchildren--Whoopie!!!!!!
