After Janessa had her baby, there were times that I left the two new parents alone for a little while. I spent some time helping Kristin and Stephen move, hung out with Heather, Jay and Lauren one day and did some visiting. Ruth, Megan and I took Grandma Christensen out to dinner one night. It was hard to get her in and out of the car but other than that it was a great time. We went to Sizzler, her favorite place, and had a nice meal together. Grandma sees well, hears well and still has a good mind. She sometimes repeats stories, but then I do that! It was great to be with her. Another place I went was to visit our friends, the Workman's, who just left Hawaii. President Workman is the Hawaii Temple president and is home in SLC awaiting the completion of the all the refurbishing that is being done to the temple. So we look forward to seeing them often for the next year and a half while they are in Utah. They are wonderful friends. It was a nice visit to Utah and I am looking forward to returning in March to stay.

I really look forward to being able to play with some of our grandchildren whenever I want. And I'll be a short flight away to the rest of them. Utah here we come!!!
We also have booked a little trip on the way home from Hawaii. We are going to Maui on the Superferry and staying at the Hyatt Resort (Dad is finally using some of his Hyatt points earned in Germany) and golfing for 3 days. Then we'll fly out of Maui to Salt Lake. It will be our last warm days in Hawaii. I will miss the weather and the golf all year round.

Holy Cow, Grandma looks great for being 98 1/2 years old. Does she still live at her house?
