Christmas was a bit different this year. We actually got to spend some time with our children....at least the ones close by. We enjoyed a nice dinner and then opened gifts with Kristin's family, Heather's family and Janessa's family in Salt Lake. Evelyn and Fern were also there (the grandmas) to join in the festivities. We did this early in the month so tht we could go to Las Vegas and see Michelle and Andrew's new baby boy---grandchild number 16---named Dahlin Greg Kesler. He is adorable as you can see in the photos. We had a great time with Michelle's family for the week before Christmas. We left Salt Lake early in the morning on the 14th and stopped in Mesquite to play golf! We had a lot of fun. Then on to Las Vegas. We spent agreat week with the kids and enjoyed playing with the grandchildren everyday and helped make caramel apples with Michelle. Greg got pretty good at this task. He loved eating them too! We also went to the Bellagio to see the beautiful decorations with Michelle and her children as well as other children from Gavin's preschool class. They all had a lot of fun. It was fun to go to the ward party and meet all their friends.
Christmas morning was very fun to watch the kids open presents. We had a nice meal the night before and so just ate leftovers the next day along with Eggs Benedict for breakfast...a family tradition. The day was spent in our pajamas playing games and just hanging out with the kids. We tried to get our fill of hugs and kisses and holding the baby. We left the day after Christmas, stopped again in Mesquite to play another round of golf and then on to Salt Lake again.
I have to tell you all that this beautiful yellow and white shawl was crocheted by Grandma Christensen (Baby Dahlin's great, great grandmother) who finished it a few months ago. She is 99 years old. Amazing, huh????
The two boxes made a very fun toy. This was a train for Sydney and Gavin!

Dahlin is such a cutie! Is that his carseat he's sitting in? It's so cute!
