We have lived in several countries and visited many others. We have become acquainted with people of all races, cultures and religions. We have learned new customs, new languages, new cities, and learned to appreciate different foods and ways of doing things. We have been called Americanos, Estrangeiros, Gaijin, Gringos, Haoles and other various names. I can honestly say that we are "color blind" and enjoy many people in this great world.
In the gospel, we are all One Culture. We are not Brazilian, Polynesians, Japanese, Americans or Londoners. We are children of God united by our love for Him and His gospel. When we become part of this church, we take on the culture of the church. All over the world, the Saints are learning what it means to be a citizen of God's Kingdom.
I love so many people from every part of the world. I love the members of the church that we have met all over the world. I really don't care what they call me, as long as they can think of me as Sister--because I am their sister.
I can say that I am not just an American, but a citizen of the world and a citizen of the Kingdom of God. I hope we can all show love for our fellow brothers and sisters.
